Treefera Market Intelligence Now Available on Snowflake
19 March 2026

Treefera, the AI-native first-mile intelligence platform for agricultural and soft commodities, has partnered with Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, to distribute its commodity intelligence through the Snowflake Data Cloud.
The collaboration gives commodity trading desks, supply chain teams and financial institutions access to Treefera's production area detection and yield forecasting data directly within their existing Snowflake environment.
The partnership addresses a structural friction in how commodity data reaches decision-makers. First-mile signals - satellite-derived crop conditions, plot-level yield forecasts, production area estimates - have historically required bespoke data pipelines before they can be integrated with downstream risk and pricing models. By the time the data is accessible, the market has already moved. Treefera and Snowflake remove that lag.
Treefera's Market Intelligence product covers over 20 commodity-region pairs - including US corn, Ghanaian cocoa, Brazilian coffee and Indian sugar - each delivering a weekly data CSV and a monthly written market insight. The commodity-region pairs are selected for market significance - globally traded, high-liquidity crops whose supply signals carry outsized weight in price formation. The signal cadence is designed around the information gap: satellite-derived production area estimates and yield forecasts publish weeks ahead of official government reporting, giving subscribers a material lead on the next publicly available data point.
The models combine satellite imagery, environmental signals and field-level inputs at individual plot resolution. Built on deep agronomic science - biological window awareness, footprint-weighted climate stress and reference-class benchmarking against comparable cohorts - they produce uncertainty-quantified outputs calibrated to financial risk standards rather than general market commentary. The precision is measurable. For example, Treefera's US corn yield projection of 187.6 bushels per acre came within 1% of the USDA's final January 2026 figure, delivered four weeks ahead of official publication with verified uncertainty. For Ghanaian cocoa, production area detection achieves an F1 score of 0.932.
That intelligence is now available as a live share on Snowflake Marketplace, queryable alongside a customer's own position, pricing and exposure data without data movement or additional infrastructure. Coverage spans corn, wheat, cocoa, coffee, sugar and cattle, with expansion to soy, palm oil, rice and natural rubber underway.
About Treefera
Treefera is a risk intelligence platform delivering actionable insights across three core products: Market Intelligence, Risk Intelligence, and Environmental Intelligence. Founded by former JP Morgan head of risk Jonathan Horn, Treefera's AI-enabled data fabric transforms complex geospatial and environmental data into decision-grade intelligence for commodity markets. The Market Intelligence product delivers early-warning signals on commodity yields, production risk, and supply disruptions, providing traders, buyers, and risk desks with an information advantage ahead of official market reports. From corn and wheat to cocoa and beef, Treefera converts satellite imagery, weather data, and proprietary forecasting models into structured, macro-focused datasets that enable confident positioning in volatile commodity markets.
